Leadership & Governance:
- Member of University Senate and Deans' Committee; Advisor to the Vice Chancellor on engineering and technical affairs.
- Head of the School of Engineering & Technology, overseeing academic, technical and administrative teams.
- Chaired the School's Board and University's Contracts Review Committee, supervising planning and execution of university infrastructure.

- Pioneer Dean: Led establishment of the School, developing mission, vision, service charter and academic policies.

Infrastructure & Project Delivery:

The Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) | 2018 – 2019
- Served as the Accounting Officer and Head of the Secretariat, responsible for day-to-day management aligned with the IEK Constitution and Council decisions.
- Spearheaded international and national engineering partnerships, engaging State Agencies, Private Sector actors, the World Engineering Federation and the Royal Academy of Engineering.
- Directed policy formulation and implementation, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance across the Institution's operations.
- Led the development and execution of IEK's Strategic Plan (2018-2023), aligning financial, operational and programmatic priorities.
- Oversaw budget preparation, resource mobilization and revenue-generation activities—especially through international conferences, CPD trainings and stakeholder events.
- Coordinated linkages and institutional representation, promoting IEK's profile across government bodies, regulators, development partners and professional organizations.
- Led training, performance appraisal and capacity development for IEK staff.
- Championed ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) initiatives, positioning IEK as a neutral platform for resolving engineering-related contractual disputes.

County Government of Kitui (Lands, Infrastructure & Urban Development) | 2013 – 2016
Key Mandate & Strategic Leadership:
- Headed the County Ministry overseeing Land, Roads, Housing, Public Works and Urban Governance in line with Article 183 and the Fourth Schedule of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
- Formulated policies, presented Bills and Cabinet Memos and led strategic planning, budgeting and infrastructure development.
- Spearheaded cross-sector coordination with national agencies (e.g., KRB, NCA, REREC) and donor programmes including KISIP, World Vision (WASH), and Kenya Municipal Programme (KMP).
Key Infrastructure Achievements:
- Delivered over 1,400 km of roads, 43 drifts, 5 box culverts, 3 bridges, and 8.5 km of concrete slab roads in mountainous terrain.
- Supervised 80 km of urban street lighting and installation of 200 solar floodlights in all 40 wards.
- Delivered urban tarmacking projects in Kitui and Mwingi CBDs; initiated countywide rural electrification partnership with REREC.
Governance, Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represented the Ministry before National Senate, County Assembly and intergovernmental forums.
- Participated in legislative reviews (e.g., Roads Bill 2015, Urban Areas & Cities Regulations, Physical and Land Use Planning Act, Community Lands Bill).
